Janet Jackson = Hospital

NEW YORK (AP) — A representative for Janet Jackson says the singer has been hospitalized after falling ill shortly before a concert.

According to statement released by W&W Public Relations, the singer canceled her concert in Montreal on Monday after she "got suddenly ill" during her sound check and had to be rushed to the hospital just before show time.

The statement says Jackson is being monitored at the hospital and hopes to reschedule the show. No further information was given about Jackson's condition.

A phone call placed to W&W after hours went unanswered, and a representative did not immediately return an e-mail seeking more information.Jackson, 42, is on a North American tour.

....I hope she's okay...

Exclusive: Drama in the Sipp Wit Pleasure P and Pretty Ricky..

There was drama between Pleasure P and his former group Pretty Ricky today in Jackson, Mississippi.

They were in town to perform at the annual battle of the bands competition. This is how my insider (<--shouts to Big Boy) described the event which took place in the press box (Veterans Memorial Stadium):

"Everything was cool. Then that dude Spectacular was like 'yea that nigga [Pleasure P] wanna act like he f*in seditty and sh*t.' Then dude started saying some stuff abouta "Jersey City" [???] that I couldn't make out. But Pleasure P didn't say anything, he just waved the comments off with his hand..."

Ain't that something....Moving on!

Now, I'm not the person that's gonna force religion upon you but I do believe there is a point in which u cross the line.... HER OWN RELIGION? Who does this woman think she is? I am like whooooaaaaaa, Sumthings u can do and say but sumthings cross the line and she's crossed it in my books... now, I've never been a huge Oprah fan, however, I love The Color Purple ( You told Harpo to Beat Me?) LOL, Random thought, but uhh, no matter how much money u have u can't buy class and uhhh HOME-GIRL it's showing that ur still IGNANT!

Finally! There's a sequel set to be released to my all time favorite book Coldest Winter Ever by Sistah Souljah.

On another note...looking at that cover, I'm kinda disappointed though. I mean I never pictured the character "Midnight" looking like that. Cuz I when the first book ended, homeboy was in he twenties so I'm thinkin that he's in his thirties now.

Webbie Arrested in the Sipp!

HATTIESBURG, MS (Report courtesy of WAFB) - Police have arrested 23-year-old Webster Gradney of Baton Rouge, also known as the rapper "Webbie," after a police pursuit that started on Interstate 59 in Hattiesburg, MS.

Police say an officer tried to stop a 2009 Dodge Challenger for a traffic violation Sunday around 3:30 p.m. on I-59 North. They say the driver ignored police lights and continued driving recklessly until exiting off the interstate. They say the Challenger eventually collided with a black, 1999 Mercury Cougar, but kept going. Police say they lost sight of the Challenger while attending to victims in the other car involved in that accident.

Hattiesburg police say they later found a damaged Challenger abandoned in a Walmart parking lot. They say witnesses reported seeing the driver get out of the damaged car and get into another car. Police later found a 1993 Ford Crown Victoria fitting the second car's description with three men inside. They say Gradney was one of them and was identified as the driver of the Dodge Challenger.

He was later arrested and transported to the Forrest County Regional Jail where he was charged with one count of felony eluding, one count of driving under the influence (other), and one misdemeanor count of possession of marijuana. Officers say a small amount of alleged marijuana was found inside the Dodge Challenger.

They say Gradney also has one pending felony charge of aggravated assault with a motor vehicle because of the car crash. The other passengers of the Crown Victoria were questioned and later released without charge.

Lil Wayne and A Court Date...

So Lil Wayne showed up to criminal court the other day looking a damn mess.

Come on now jeans and sneakers for court?

He is due back in court next week in an attempt to get his gun charges dropped stemming from his arrest after a NY city concert last year. Ja Rule was arrested blocks away the same night. IF convicted he could face a mandatory jail sentence of 3 1/2 years.

Kanye Arrested!

Dammit! He has gone and done it....Kanye West has gotten himself arrested.

In the words of my homie Shae, "What'd He Go and Do That For?" lol

Well from what I know, both he and his assistant were arrested for vandalism. According to TMZ, the platinum selling rapper asked one of the photographers to stop filming him while at LAX airport in Los Anegels.

And That's when hell broke loose.

Here's how TMZ described the event:

[The Cameraman named Erik] noticed a still photog taking several pictures of Kanye West. Erik says West rushed the photog and grabbed his camera. A struggle ensued and the still guy was screaming, "Police, Help!" Erik says Kanye then took the still camera and threw it on the ground, breaking it into pieces.

Erik then went over to Kanye, his camera rolling, when Kanye's assistant walked up to him, realized Erik was taping, and said, "Give me the camera, give me the camera." Erik responded that he had a press pass and had a right to shoot. The assistant then gabbed the camera, ripped off the mic and viewfinder and then grabbed the cam and smashed it to the ground.

Erik says Kanye then tried to leave to board his plane, but cops stopped him before he got to security. The cops then interviewed Erik, the still photog, Kanye and his assistant..

This is where it gets crazy. The cops asked Erik if he videotaped the incident and Erik said he had. That's when Kanye lunged toward him and said, "Give me the fu***ng videotape." Cops had to restrain Kanye as he tried coming at Erik.

VMA Wrap Up!

Last Night's MTV Video Music Awards had to be the most boring award show I have ever seen. I say the best performance of the night was between Lil' Wayne (<--Man! he had Leona Lewis singing the MisUnderstood track in which he must have freestyled it cause it wasn't a verse on the album track..HOTT Though!) and Pink (<--She performed "I'm a Rockstar"...She Still Got IT!).



I guess it was Britney Spears comeback night because snatched like 3 awards including Video of the Year. I thought that was total bullsh*t. Clearly those other videos in the category with her where better. But hey, what can you? I'm not on the committee.


Quick question...Who is the good hell decided to put Mary J. Blige in the category for Best Hip Hop Video???!!! ...I Digress

Rihanna's opening "Disturbia" performance rocked too. Love the hair extension! lol





...Ummm Kanye West was on some new level sh*t. He performed is new song "Love Lockdown" which will be on his new album "Good As* Job" (due in stores this December). Can somebody please give this dude a razor cuz he looking scruffy!




So yea overall I really expected more from MTV. I mean hell they brought it last year. The biggest controversy this year was the host UK's Russel Brand talking about the Jonas Brothers and their promise rings (<--their promise to keep their virginity til marriage).

EDIT..By the way, I love how Lil Wayne yelled out "Shout Out To My Date!" at the end of his perfomance....Hey Nivea Girl! lol

Okay so my guy Lil Wayne kinda snapped at a black photographer yesterday in New York.

What I don't get is why everything was cool when he was signing autographs and taking pictures with the big name paparazzi...but the minute the black pap walked up with his camera he got annoyed.

Weezy started saying things like “What kind of n*cca walks around with a camera on another n*cca...”

So when dude followed up by asking him about getting punked out in Compton, he let the window up...

Well I was down there with the fam for the MEAC vs. the SWAC football game. This game involved JACKSON STATE UNIVERSITY and Hampton University.

I blame our lost (yea "our" seeing as though I'm in grad school at JSU lol) on an unorganized OFFENSE which, in turn, tired the Deffense out.
